We first introduced Cambridge Penfriends in 2013 and we were glad to see that it was loved by everyone involved in it; students, teachers and parents!

Through the Cambridge Penfriends Website we connected with Walton Palmer Private English school in Seville, Spain and our students had the chance to exchange letters with Spanish students of the same age and level of English. They could also share cards they created about Nicosia on The Cambridge Penfriends Website for the whole world to see! Have a look for yourself!

Our students, even the less motivated ones, got very excited about communicating in English and making friends from another country while at the same time developing their language skills in a practical, fun and communicative way.

We are extremely satisfied with the results of this new project, since it fits in our general teaching philosophy; the teaching of foreign languages moves beyond the coursebook, towards the communicative and authentic use of language, which motivates students and builds their confidence.
