Extra-curricular activities offer students excellent opportunities to see how language is used outside the classroom, in real life situations and are highly motivating, as they inspire students’ curiosity and connect language learning to the real world.

We are delighted to see that sometimes such activities arise because of our students’ spontaneous suggestions! For example, our Pre-IGCSE students organised a very successful charity event at the institute, following a project about charities in their coursebook and managed to raise €800 for “Make a Wish” organisation!

Other such activities include going to the cinema to watch films in English/French, organising end-of-year plays, language tables with native speakers of the target language, attending lectures in the target language, cooking workshops with traditional dishes and lots more! You can have a look at some pictures here.
